ABOUT MOKEThe first design was a prototype for a light military vehicle, based on the American jeep style. Unfortunately, its small wheels and low suspension made it impractical as an off road vehicle.
Afterwards, the Moke has been offered in a unique version: an easy to maintain, low priced vehicle, ideal for leisure activities.
The Moke eventually gained a lot of success as a beach buggy. It became a ‘cult’ vehicle in the Algarve, Côte d’Azur, Seychelles, Australia, USA and a lot of tropic spots in the Caribbean.
Like the minivan, the original Moke used the exact same engine, transmission and suspension.
The legendary Moke now available 100% electric
The first Mokes were built at the BMC’s Birmingham factory. 14 518 Mokes were made in the UK between 1964 and 1968, 26 000 in Australia between 1966 and 1981 and 10 000 in Portugal between 1980 and 1993. After these years, the production of the Moke was shut down.
Several years later, the legendary Moke is now available in a 100 % electric version.
This vehicle is ideal for your spare time with a speed of 70km/h and a range of 100km.
It’s European approved for 4 persons and of course ‘street legal’, the highway not included.
Our Moke electric team is always available to provide you an unforgettable test drive..
